Carpet Exchange Stone Flooring Care
Care for your Stone Flooring

Since stone is a natural material, simple care and maintenance can keep it looking stunning for years to come. That's assuming that you can keep the sand, the dirt and the grit off of it as much as possible. These tend to do the most damage because of their abrasiveness, and can potentially end up scratching your beautiful floor. Which is why you'll want to dust mop your stone floors frequently.

Area rugs or mats just inside and outside of entrances are also a good idea to help minimize the collection of grit.

Blot up any spills immediately and be particularly attentive to any liquids that are acidic such as vinegar, lemon juice, and certain cleaners (including bathroom and grout cleaners containing acid). THESE CAN ALL DAMAGE THE FINISH OF YOUR MARBLE, LIMESTONE, OR TRAVERTINE.

When using cleaning products, use only those that are specifically designed for use on stone and that are recommended by the manufacturer. If you ever have any doubt, just check with our certified sales staff at Carpet Exchange. Not only can we help you with all your cleaning questions, we carry an assortment of specialized cleaning products that are all recommended by the manufacturers of our flooring.
